FOR THE FIRST 4 DAYS:
Keep covered with plastic wrap at all times; this specifically includes while working, exercising, and sleeping. (If for any reason your skin becomes red or irritated under the plastic, remove it immediately and contact us for alternate aftercare instructions. |
Twice daily, remove the wrapping and wash the tattoo gently with liquid antibacterial soap and warm water. |
Gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel. |
Apply a coat of TATTOO GOO. Alternately, you can use BACITRACIN, NEOSPORIN, TRIPLE ANTIBIOTIC or A&D OINTMENT. |
Immediately re-wrap the tattoo. |
FOR THE NEXT 7 TO 10 DAYS: |
Stop wrapping the tattoo. Instead, wash it gently once or twice daily and apply a small amount of Lubriderm, Cetaphil, or any other white, non-perfumed hand cream whenever it is dry, tight, or itchy. |
Let the new skin breathe as much as possible. Avoid excessive contact or rubbing. |
After a few days, your tattoo may flake or peel. DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH IT! |
When the tattoo has finished peeling, it may appear shiny for a week or two. This is normal. |
Do not let anyone else touch your tattoo until it is completely healed. |
No swimming or soaking until the tattoo is completely healed. Showers are fine, baths are not! |
